“Founded in 2016 in Barcelona, the start-up Onalabs has designed and developed three digital devices based on sensor bioengineering that turn the skin into a data platform to make people’s lives easier and safer. Aimed at remote monitoring of chronically ill patients hospitalized at home, athletes, and diabetics, the connected devices developed by Onalabs act as microlaboratories capable of translating the language of biochemistry into high-quality data. The skin’s perspiration provides a wealth of data that Onalabs technology captures, transforming sweat into an intelligent biofluid.”
“It is expected that the sports product will enter the market at the beginning of 2022, and the first health product by the end of the same year.”
The company has launched three different private investment avenues with tickets ranging from €2,000 to €50,000; contributions starting from €50,000 for sector investors; and a crowdfunding round on the international platform Crowdcube. The goal is to reach €1.2 million, after having raised the same amount in competitive funds since its inception.”
